In the world of Allie Marzie, words are colors painted with melodies in rhythms that come together to form vibrant illustrations. Expressive and emotional dynamics feed her passionate, soulful blues rock and pop grooves. She’s inspired by an eclectic mix of artists ranging from Etta James, Otis Redding, and Janis Joplin to Arlo Parks, Vulfpeck, and Alabama Shakes. Allie Marzie is a Blues Rock Pop and Soul singer originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. Marzie became interested in songwriting at the age of eight, and while most third
graders were focused on homework and reading logs, she was performing in her first rock ‘n’roll band.

Marzie released her debut record at fourteen years old, written and recorded with Tino Gross out
of Funky D Records and has since then been growing as an artist and leaving a vulnerable part of herself on every stage she shares. Engrossed by the music of previous generations, Marzie became increasingly interested in the Avant Garde movement of the 1960’s. She grew up collecting vinyl’s and surrounding herself with music by The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Otis Redding, Odetta, and others alike. Their inspiration peppers her luscious melodies, and she embodies an old soul in a new age.

Over the last decade, Marzie’s sound was not the only thing evolving as she’s embarked on this journey of self-discovery. Since before she can remember, Marzie poured her perception of this abstract earth into her visual art. A multifaceted artist, this pushed Marzie to direct and produce most of her creative content such as music videos, photoshoots, and graphic design work. Growing up she has created and sold a variety of illustrations and creations, as she still does today.

Now in Nashville, Tennessee. Marzie, Guitarist, Pianist, Singer and Songwriter is sometimes accompanied by guitar, bass, drums, and keys on stage. Marzie’s signature long blonde hair whipping through the air, and her powerful raspy singing voice transports her audience back to a time when music still felt about the music.
